OnePlus Boulevard: A design case driven by 3Cs - Context. Community. Commerce

The store design ticks all 3C’s and heralds a new kind of retail arena in India. Designed to cultivate deeper bond between brand and its community and followers, the store has been conceptualised like a ‘hub’ and a ‘walk in the urban park’.

The store is inspired by cultural tones of millennial city Bangalore, India where it sits, with design merging ‘Outside’ with ‘Inside’ and bridges the transition of ‘old’ and ‘new’ with use of Natural clay bricks providing a ‘old place context’ and incorporates natural earthy elements and green spaces around the store. Single height of the structure standing at 40 feet makes you feel like you are walking under sky.

The glass facade that towers at 35 feet height, made of single height fins capture daylight in abundance and hence an outdoor feel. The nostalgia provided through traditional bricks and in contrast cutting edge technology on display culminate in creating a ‘humane living place’.

The store also includes a cafe for OnePlus community members to chill out and a closed mini theater for interaction with associates.

FRDC is proud to partner with OnePlus for this retail landmark’s Architectural Design & Engineering.
