Heritage landmark - the old Opera House on Brigade road, Bangalore had almost become an invisible piece of architecture until it transformed into the beautifully restored Samsung Mobile Experience Centre in 2018. Now after 5 years, the iconic landmark’s outdoor areas have been upgraded for a fresher look. FRDC was commissioned to reimagine the facade, a third-party cafe zone and outdoor area that has now become an activated urban community hub. We were able to increase brand impact by merging private and public space and extending brand experience beyond store premises. Certain areas of the compound wall was rejigged to create an accessible and visual bridge between the ‘Outside and Inside’. Landscape design as a tool was used to create an ideal ‘walk in the park’ experience for the public.
