Future Research Design Company (FRDC) is proud to announce another milestone in its design journey, winning five honours at the VM&RD Retail Design Awards 2026, held during In-store Asia 2026. The recognition celebrates our commitment to creating innovative, sustainable and experience-led retail environments that deliver meaningful value for brands and their customers.

Unispace – A New Benchmark for Home Improvement Retail
Spread across a large-format retail environment, Unispace was envisioned as an immersive destination that seamlessly integrates modular kitchens, wardrobes, furniture and home improvement solutions into a cohesive customer experience. The project combines intuitive planning, engaging visual communication, sustainable design principles and carefully orchestrated lighting to create a retail environment that inspires discovery while simplifying the customer journey. The multiple awards across graphics, sustainability, lighting and specialty retail categories reflect the holistic approach behind the design.

Swadesh – Celebrating India's Craft Heritage
Swadesh, by Reliance Retail, reimagines the retail experience through a design language deeply rooted in India's rich craft traditions. Located within the iconic Eros building in Mumbai, the flagship brings together heritage architecture, handcrafted detailing, indigenous materials and contemporary retail planning to create an immersive destination that celebrates Indian artisanship. Receiving recognition in the Home Improvement & Specialty Store category reinforces the project's success in translating cultural authenticity into a meaningful retail experience.

These awards are a reflection of the passion, creativity and collaboration shared between our clients, consultants, execution partners and the entire FRDC team. We are grateful for the trust placed in us and proud to see these projects recognized on one of India's leading retail design platforms.
As we celebrate this achievement, we remain committed to pushing the boundaries of retail design and creating environments that inspire, engage and shape the future of retail.
Until next time, let’s keep designing with purpose.
